Erasmus+ KA2 Training Course in Foligno: a week of collaboration and project development

From November 17 to 21, Foligno hosted an intensive Erasmus+ KA2 training course, bringing together teachers from schools that participated in the Eco-Digithon 2024-2025, along with other educators and stakeholders.

In the weeks leading up to the in-person training, participants had already engaged in several online sessions, spending many hours in lectures and completing assignments. The Foligno week marked the culmination of these efforts, allowing everyone to come together, collaborate face-to-face, and apply their knowledge in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Why organise a training course under Erasmus+ KA2?

The goal was to support schools and Vocational and Educational Training centres (VET) in continuing to develop and expand the eco-innovative projects they presented at the Eco-Digithon. Equipping teachers with project management tools such as GANTT charts, budgeting, needs analysis, and problem trees provides skills that are immediately applicable not only to Erasmus+ KA2 projects but also to many other funding opportunities.

Five days of intensive learning and teamwork

Over five days, participants alternated between lessons and hands-on teamwork, putting theory into practice immediately. By the end of the week, the groups had produced several strong project proposals, ready to be refined for submission in March 2026.

Participants’ Voices

Simona –  Teacher, Italy

“Thank you to all of you, no one excluded, because each one of you has given me an important cultural exchange that I will carry with me. I feel richer, and I will have a lot to reflect on. Thank you for having shared conversations, comparisons, and future projects with me, but above all, for having given me the lightness and joy that I needed.”

Isidro – Teacher, Spain

“In Foligno, each day was different: some busy, some calm, but always interesting. I leave these thoughts feeling fortunate to be here, working with a clear goal to improve what motivates me most – education – and above all, enjoying the experience of being in a different place, with my colleagues and with participants from other countries.”

Looking ahead

The course is not over. Participants will continue with an additional 20 hours of follow-up, aimed at helping them write a robust project proposal and, hopefully, secure funding.
