At ENNEPlus, we measure success in many ways. But sometimes the most meaningful measure arrives not in a score or a ranking. It arrives in a message from someone who was there.
This is one of those messages.
Nine months, two schools, one big leap
Hatice Kırmacı, founder of Women Science Teachers (WST) and ENOVA Training Consultancy, is a teacher who supported ALL DIGITAL during the ENNEPlus International Eco-Digithon. She coordinated the Turkish teams, working alongside students from two schools including ISOV high school.
The starting point was not easy. In her own words:
“The students from ISOV started this project with very limited experience in project-based work. Their teacher had only recently joined the school this year and was still getting to know the students. The biggest challenge was that these young people are vocational school students and belong to one of the most disadvantaged groups in terms of opportunities and exposure to international educational initiatives.”
And yet, across eight or nine Zoom meetings and one face-to-face meeting, they kept going.
What happened after the final presentations
Hatice watched the final presentations as a jury member. She is honest: there were shortcomings. But she also saw something far more important happening right afterwards.
“After the final presentation, I witnessed an incredible transformation among the students. Through the messages they shared in our WhatsApp group, I realized that many of them experienced a genuine awakening. For the first time in their lives, they had been part of an international project, worked as a team, developed ideas, presented their work, and shared their voices with others. I truly believe that this experience has lit a spark that will guide them throughout their future lives.”
“These young people may well be among the groups that learned the most from the ENNEPlus project. The impact on their confidence, motivation, and vision for the future has been remarkable.”
Impact beyond the winners
Hatice’s message cuts to the heart of what ENNEPlus is really for.
