The higher technical college HTBLuVA Graz-Gösting – HTL BULME (HTLB) for short – founded in 1919- is attended by around 2,300 pupils – including around 1,500 pupils between the ages of 14 and 19 and around 800 students – who take part time training to become an engineer in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering and industrial engineering. Their >100 school classes are taught by around 270 teachers in modern classrooms and well equipped laboratories and workshops. Fossil fuels are finite, the future belongs to renewable energies. With this in mind, HTL BULME has with its project “Green Village” in the practical teaching focus on renewable energies.
Green Village is a training centre that is unique in its diversity in Austria, in which technologies such as photovoltaics, biomass heating systems, wind energy and heat pumps are available to have a hands on approach for our students. It was possible to realize the Green Village project thanks the generous support of many of their partner companies.
