Title of the job-shadowing offer Learning from Guimarães European Green Capital 2026: Sustainability, VET and Community Engagement

Short description of the opportunity

Visiting VET staff will explore how Guimarães’ role as European Green Capital 2026 can inspire school-based sustainability education, eco-innovation and community engagement. The mobility will combine meetings with Arts&Skills, exchanges with local schools and teachers, observation of sustainability-related educational activities, and, whenever possible, participation in selected Green Capital events, workshops or local initiatives. The final programme will be adapted to the official agenda and the availability of schools, institutions and event organisers.

Main activities included in the visit

Introductory session on Arts&Skills, ENNE+ and the Guimarães European Green Capital 2026 context. Meetings with local schools, teachers and/or VET stakeholders involved in sustainability-related activities. Observation of school-based projects or educational practices connected to sustainability, subject to availability. Participation in selected Green Capital events, workshops, exhibitions, conferences or site visits, according to the official agenda. Exchange session on how visiting schools can transfer good practices to their own contexts. Final reflection workshop to support participants in designing follow-up activities for their schools or Eco-Digithon projects.

Expected profile of participants

VET teachers, trainers, school leaders or staff involved in eco-innovation, green skills, sustainability education or international cooperation.

Duration of the opportunity

5 working days, with possible adaptation according to mobility needs and agenda availability.

Available period(s) for hosting

Preferably during September-October 2026, aligned with the Guimarães European Green Capital agenda. Specific dates to be agreed in advance according to the availability of Arts&Skills, local schools, partner organisations and relevant Green Capital events
